Indian businessman’s CSR initiatives help change lives of Congolese.

  Mumbai:  Harish Jagtani , a businessman and a philanthropist of Indian origin, has been working determinedly to serve the people of the  Democratic Republic of Congo  (DRC) through his CSR initiatives and for creating a better life for them, especially for those from economically weaker backgrounds.  Mr. Jagtani  has been based in Kinshasa, DRC, for over 20 years now. Mr. Jagtani  began his business venture in the DRC with Serve Air, which is the most-preferred cargo shipment partner of the state and global NGOs, such as the UN and WHO, among others. After this,  Mr. Jagtani  launched Modern Constructions and built some important buildings and commercial centres in Kinshasa, besides  HJ Hospitals  to bring quality healthcare to the people of Congo with state-of-the-art infrastructure and services. Permanent centre of 'Jaipur Foot' will come up in Congo's capital

  Jaipur, Oct 18 (PTI) The maker of prosthetic limbs 'Jaipur Foot' -- Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) -- will collaborate with the Congo-based Harish Jagtani Foundation to set up a permanent disabled rehabilitation centre in Kinshasa, the capital of Congo.      Harish Jagtani Foundation is run by Indian entrepreneur Harish Jagtani , who hails from Jaipur and runs cargo, building and health care businesses.      Under this arrangement with Harish Jagtani Foundation, a four-member technical team from BMVSS will help in setting up the permanent centre in Kinshasa's Harish Jagtani Hospital and will provide on the spot fitment to the disabled people in Congo, founder and chief patron of BMVSS D R Mehta said.      The team would also train local technicians for a year to enable them handle the permanent centre independently.      Satish Mehta, the executive president of BMVSS, said Ha...
